Joyce Marie Stafford (nee Massey) 93, Englewood, FL and Appleton, WI Beloved daughter, mother, grandma and great grandmother, was reunited with Ed on Monday, July 2, 2018. She was born on Sept. 3, 1924 to the late John and Esther (Cayo) Massey in Niagara, WI.

Joyce and Edward were united in marriage on Sept. 7, 1942. Together they owned and operated Ed’s Boat Sales in Appleton for over 50 years, which their son Gary continues to operate.

Joyce and Ed enjoyed many winters at their home in Englewood, FL. We hold close to our hearts so many wonderful cherished memories of Christmases and vacations spent at the beach with them. Joyce will be greatly missed by her sons: Gary (Linda) Stafford, Menasha; John (Barbara) Stafford, Little Chute, WI and FL; and Tom (Laura Pankratz) Stafford, Menasha; grandchildren: Laura (Roger) Hager; Michelle (Ryan) Tonies; Erin (Scott) Maron; Scott (Jenny) Stafford and Ryan (Amber Lubenske) Stafford; 8 great grandchildren: MacKenna, Kinzie and Easton Hager; Sienna and Archer Tonies; Hannah and Evelyn Maron; and Layla Stafford; special friends: Frank Molnar and his family; Ronald Solberg Jr. and his family; and other special friends, too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and in 1993, a son, Bruce. A Mass of Resurrection for Joyce will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 13, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (222 E. Fremont St.) Appleton with Rev. Jon Thorson officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Menasha. Friends may visit the family directly at church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a memorial in Joyce’s name to the charity of your choice.

We believe that being surrounded by ALL of her loving immediate family at the time that SHE DECIDED to take her journey onward was truly a “God Wink”. To have known the pure beauty and gift of our mother’s love, makes her loss the more difficult to accept.
