Patricia M. Melzer, 85, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Brewster Village, with her family at her side. She was born on February 3, 1933 to the late George and Magdalene (Otto) Pierre in Appleton. Patricia married LeRoy Melzer at St. Therese Catholic Church, April 19, 1952, sharing 57 years together before he passed away in 2009.

She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. Pat was a prolific cook. She volunteered as a St. Bernard Crafty Lady and at St. Elizabeth hospital.

First and foremost, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Patricia is survived by her children: Steve (Julie), Leanne (John) Beyer, Greg (Wendy), Alan, Brian (Diane), Paul (Debora) and Mark (Sandy); brothers-in-law: John (Eunice) Melzer and Keith (Beverly) Melzer, 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee, brother Norbert (Laverne) Pierre, daughter Lisa and grandson Douglas Beyer.

A Mass of Resurrection for Pat will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, at SAINT BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton, with Rev. Amol Roche officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The Family would like to thank the staff of Brewster Village for the terrific care and comfort they provided Patricia and her family.
