Edward Francis Rausch 88, Appleton was called home to his Lord and Savior on Nov. 27, 2018 surrounded by his children. Ed was born on Jan.

29, 1930 in Oneida to the late Peter and Henrietta (Van Lanen) Rausch. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army for four years. Ed married Jonelle Grognet on June 28, 1958 and shared 60 years together.

With his degree in Bakery and Confectionary he worked at Rich’s Bakery as a Baker for 40 years. He started the Local BC & T 340 Union. Ed was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Mackville.

He lived his life by faith, prayer, strength and growing food to feed his family and shared his bounty with the community. He enjoyed: golfing, gardening, fishing, hunting and building birdhouses. Ed was a participant in Active Minds Community at the Thompson Community Center, with facilitators Jody Hutchinson and his daughter, Susan.

Ed will be greatly missed by his wife, Jonelle; children: Carol (Don) Rietveld and children: Michael, Brigette and Phillip; Roxane Rausch (Kurt Thomas) and children: Tyler, Danielle, Elyse, Sydnee, Fionna and Zoe; Susan (Ryan) Burns and children: Jamie, Carlie and Corey; Mary (Ross) Renner and children: Carine, Ayden and Corbyn; Dane Rausch (Daniel Sproull); Tim Rausch (Ann Stark-Rausch) and children: Erin, Eric, Timothy Edward, Maddie and Johnnie; Anne Rausch and children: Makiah and Avery and their father Scott Nuutinen; a brother Bob Rausch; brother-in-law Ken (Beth) Grognet. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Michael Edward; his family’s best friend Rosie Kern; siblings: Eleanor, Patricia, Ralph and David; a sister-in-law Evelyn Rausch. A Mass of Resurrection for Ed will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Edward Catholic Church, Mackville with Rev.

Walter Stumpf officiating. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 9 – 11 AM directly at church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

Military Honors will be performed by VFW Post 2778 of Appleton following the mass. The family would like to thank Susan Collins who compassionately cared for Ed and Jonelle.
