Obituary for Carol Peterson Carol Jean (Ring) Peterson, age 75, of Waupaca, WI passed away with her family by her side at Country Crossroads nursing home where she resided, on Wednesday September 12th, 2018. She was born in Milwaukee WI, to Marion (Ring) Gurholt on December 17th, 1942. Then, when she was about two years old a very special man Jakim Gurholt came into her life and raised her as his own.
She attended Waupaca High school in her early years and soon married the late Charles Peterson, together they had five children. She later found the love of her life Victor Trindal and were together for the last 29 years. Carol worked many jobs throughout her life waitressing, factory work, and retail as well as owning granny’s shirttail a t-shirt printing business with an arcade that her children and friends all once enjoyed.
Her prides were her grandchildren and great children, when they walked in the room it lit up her life. She loved drinking her coffee while watching the birds out the window. Her favorite animal was an elephant and she had so many different elephant décors in her house along with her Elvis Presely collection.
Carol was survived by her sibling’s brother Jim (Wanda) Gurholt, brother Bob (Jan) Gurholt, and one sister Judy (J. B) Gurholt. Her children Mark Peterson, Brian (Lisa) Peterson, Tammy (Rick) Fulcer, Darrian Peterson, and Sherry (Joe) Hirsch.
Along with grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends. Friends and Family that would like to pay their respects can come to the visitation at Holly Funeral Home Waupaca, WI on Monday September 17th, from 10am until Noon, with the service being held 12 Noon. From there we will go to Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery for the burial and small service following that, a meal will be served at Courtside Sports Bar.
