Obituary for Arleen R. Anderson Arleen R. Anderson peacefully passed away on October 17, 2018. She was born on April 11, 1922 to Edna (Harvey) and Walter Jensen in the Waupaca area where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Badger Elementary and Waupaca High School.

She completed several dietary courses in her nearly 20 years as a lead dietary service worker at the Wisconsin Veterans Home. She married Lloyd Anderson on September 20, 1941 and shared nearly 50 years of marriage. They raised three children.

She spent much of her time working hard on their farms as well as in retail, food service, etc. Additionally, she was a devoted caregiver to Lloyd for many years. She took true delight in her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild.

She remembered and celebrated every birthday and special event. She was also a good friend and relative who kept in touch via luncheons, long phone calls, visits and cards. She always remembered those who were not well or shut in.

Her remarkable memory made her an informal go-to historian regarding the Waupaca area and its people. She researched and documented family geneology and took pleasure in sharing her findings. A trip to her family’s ancestral homeland of Denmark was especially meaningful.

Arleen will be dearly missed by her children: L. Fred Anderson (Pat Ferguson) and Pat Anderson; grandchildren/partners: David (Ronda) Anderson, Dan (Cindy) Anderson, Mike (Wanda) Anderson, Brenda (Chris Reichman) Anderson, Ted (Ann) Anderson, Todd Anderson, Michael (Trudy Davis) Vedejs, Christina (Jacques) Mercereau, Jessikah (Dominick) Cordova and Julia (John) Vander Meer; 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She is also survived by several special nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, son Glenn Anderson, son-in-law Ed Vedejs and former daughter-in-law Jean Westphal.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by her brother Fred (and wife Lucile) Jensen and sister Marie (and husband Clifford) Edminister. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 AM.

A lunch will follow the service. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery following the luncheon. Her family acknowledges the exceptional care extended to Arleen by Park Vista staff during the past several years.
