Obituary for June D. Mix June D. Mix, age 95, of Wild Rose passed away on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018. June was born on June 9, 1923 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Frank and Cecilia (Surges) Toman.

On July 1, 1948, she joined Jack Mix in marriage. Throughout the course of her life she held various administrative assistant positions of which she was very proud of. She was employed with First Wisconsin Bank for several years until she began working with Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee and finished her career with the Waushara Argus Newspaper.

June was a very devout Catholic and enjoyed spending time with the Women’s Homemaker Organization. In later years, she was a huge Green Bay Packer Fan, she enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and crocheting. June is survived by a grandson, Brad Obarski of Horicon, WI; four nieces, Carol (Russ) Buth of Sullivan, WI, Mary Ellen (Robert) Poggemann of Minocqua, WI, June Poeppel of Milwaukee, WI and Joan Kappelmann of Milwaukee, WI; a nephew, Mark Toman of Minnesota; many other great nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Mix; a daughter, Julie Mix; a sister, Ruth Patin; and a brother, John Toman. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wautoma, WI beginning at 11 AM.

Friends and family may call from 10:30 until the time of Mass. Fr. David Greskowiak will preside.
