Carole H. Sargent, 83 of Walker, Minnesota, passed away January 6, 2019. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Walker, Minnesota, in the springtime. Carole was born in Des Moines Iowa, July 1, 1935, the daughter of Raymond G. and Helen ((Stringfellow) Hughes.

She married William O. Sargent on August 22, 1954 in Des Moines. They were a Navy family until 1968. They moved to Walker in 1973 when they purchased Northland Lodge.

After Bill’s death in 1974, Carole worked for WHA School and then for Dan Pederson, CPA for over 18 years. Carole enjoyed genealogy, puzzles, and computer games; but especially loved her home and being with her family. She is survived by a sister, Jan Leslie of Fremont, Nebraska; a brother, Dennis Hughes of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; two daughters, Hilde Sargent of Indiana, and Geri Sargent of Walker; two sons, William (Monica) of Walker and Kurt of Fargo, North Dakota; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
