OBITUARY Carole Lee Remmer July 26, 1935 – July 14, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Carole Remmer was born in Dallas by fairpark where her family ran a convenience store. As a very young child she would spend days at the store and would often pop of boxes and dance for the customers. Her desire to dance carried on throughout her life which spread through the whole family!
Her and her husband Melvin enjoyed socializing and having get togethers, and at one point becoming avid motorcyclist with their close-knit circle of friends, with whom she still spoke with until she passed. Carole was warm and friendly and all who knew her could attest to this…even to this day in sentiments from long time friends and family after her passing. As the kids grew up, the family began having lake camp outs and eventually camping on the beaches in Galveston and Padre island.
She was in her element and we all had such a blast! She found the love of fishing which lasted up until she was still able in her 70’s. We all loved the fish fry’s she would cook up for everyone who was hungry!
This continued until the kids grew up, married and had their own children. It began to get tougher through the years for those types of outings and for everyone to attend, but we all managed to get together for food, music, dancing and laughing. She also loved to paint and draw in her early years and enjoyed sewing up until she fell and broke her wrist in October of last year and basically had to stop.
Our family has continued to grow, and she has been able to see kids, grandkids, and great grandkids come in to this world, which she enjoyed. Getting out as often as she would have liked became a struggle the last 10 years, with my father’s decline in health and passing (2013) and her health declining after his passing. But we made the most of the times when she was able.
She lost her mother over 40 years ago and father several years after that and her sister followed several years ago …. and her husband passed 5 years ago …. all of whom she missed dearly.
She was a Christian and knew that they were all waiting for her which gave her comfort!
