Carolyn Cox Bennefield, 93, widow of Russell Junior Bennefield, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ May 12, 2019. A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Greene Thomas and Margaret Miller Cox, she was a retired employee of the House of Fabric and member of Good News Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Michael Bennefield (Debbie) of Inman; one daughter, Rhonda Satterfield (Jimmy) of Greer; four grandchildren, Tim Satterfield, Rusty Satterfield, Amanda Bowling (Adam) and Alisha Coley (Patrick); and eight grandchildren, Brooke Satterfield, Breanna Satterfield, Luke Bowling, Seth Bowling, Anna Bowling, Hadyn Coley, Hailey Coley and Maddox Coley.

She was also predeceased by one brother, Greene Thomas Cox, Jr. and one sister, Addie Cox Hardin. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Good News Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Daniel Waters.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.
