Carolyn E. Sigl “Gram” 94, passed from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on Monday October 29, 2018 at Grand Horizons. She was born in Appleton on August 28, 1924, daughter of the late August and Martha (Wesenberg) Lieske. Carolyn was a member of Appleton Alliance Church, Appleton.

She devoted her life to the Lord by donating her time and talents by serving in the church nursery for over 50 years. She loved all children. Carolyn enjoyed growing plants, flowers, caring for the soil, and picking weeds.

She loved animals, birds and enjoyed nature. Carolyn was a talented artist drawing with chalk and pencil. Carolyn is survived by her daughter Janice Landis; four grandchildren: Tina (Lorne) Holtzclaw, Lorie Castle, Valerie (Rod) Horvat and Tim (Teri) Taplin; nine great grandchildren: Megan (Adam), Jaden (Brianna), McKenna, Rachel, Macey, Connor, Steve, Jace and Emma; three great – great grandchildren: Keelie, Alyson and Serenity.

She was preceded in death by Howard N. Sigl, father of her children; daughter Marilyn Taplin; sister Lillian Hirte; son in-law Richard Landis and grandson in-law Todd Castle. Funeral service for Carolyn will be 11:00 AM on Friday November 2, 2018 at APPLETON ALLIANCE CHURCH, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd, with Rev. Dick Schaefer officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church Friday morning beginning at 9:00 until 10:45 AM, with service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
