Elizabeth (Bette) T. Ziesemer passed away October 16, 2018, with family at her side. Bette was blessed with wonderful family and friends whose lives she enriched. Born and raised in Isaar, Wisconsin, she was one of twelve children.

Bette was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Ziesemer and seven brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her youngest and very dear sister, Agnes Hein. Many remember Bette as the “Hostess with the Mostest” at the former Valley Inn in Neenah.

While never truthfully sharing her age, she retired at the young age of 81. Bette remained in touch with many of the Valley Inn group…too many to mention. Bob Dove and Rich Batley, you always had a special place in her heart.

Bette’s sons Rick (Lynn) Ziesemer and Jim (Sandy) Ziesemer were her life! Her grandchildren gave her such great joy…Mike (Joanne) Ziesemer, Scott Ziesemer, Shane (Tina) Ziesemer, Sheyanne Gansen (Josh Zorn). Her great grandchildren were an added blessing…Megan and Max Ziesemer, Zach and Kennedy Ziesemer, Gage and Pierce Gansen and Cora Zorn.

Bette is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. Bette was an amazing cook and baker. She only needed a recipe if trying something new.

Her children had to watch and measure their favorite meals to recreate the recipe to continue her traditions. There were always loaves of “Bette Bread” to be eaten (great grandchildren referred that way to her very special banana bread). When you visited, you never left empty handed; she always sent you home with something to eat.

Knowing Bette was loving Bette. A special thank you to her loving caregivers at Grand Horizons…she loved you! .

Thank you to Compassus Hospice for being so kind and caring. Thank you Chaplain Matt for your visits, prayers and songs. “YOO HOO Grandma Bette” Breathe Easy….

We Love You Always. A private family service has been arranged by Bette’s wishes.
