Carolyn J. Mardis Miller, 61 of Connellsville, died unexpectedly Friday morning, January 25, 2019 at her residence. She was born April 1, 1957 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of the late James A. and Myrtle Bungard Mardis.

Carolyn was a member of Alverton United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of County Market, Mt. Pleasant.

She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War with the 911 Tac Air Base as a Propeller Mechanic, obtaining the rank of SGT. Carolyn is gone from our lives but will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her loving Children: Crystal G. Garsteck and husband Brook of Scottdale Kenneth W. Miller and fiancée Heidi Hixson of Connellsville Her Three grandchildren: Christina, Samantha and Rebecca Garsteck Her Siblings: Shirley Clawson and husband William of North Carolina James A. Mardis of Alverton Gwendolyn Millward and husband Gerry of Mt.

Pleasant Jeffery Mardis and wife Suzie of Connellsville Carolyn’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale Monday from4 – 8PM. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11AM in the Funeral Home. Committal Services and Interment will follow in Middle Presbyterian Churches Cemetery, Mt.
