Obituary for Carolyn Osborne Reeser Carolyn Osborne Reeser, also known as “Kaki” by her grandchildren, left this world to be fully healed by her Heavenly Father on June 1, 2018 at the age of 77. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Carolyn spent many of her years as a teacher in the Birmingham school district. Using her gift of teaching, she humbly volunteered her time teaching English as a second language through Palisades Church of Christ, where she faithfully loved and served the international communities in Homewood, Alabama.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Alene and Leroy Osborne Sr., and her brothers, Leroy (Sonny) Osborne Jr. and Clark Osborne. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Paul Douglas Reeser, and their children, Ike Reeser and his wife Gwyn, Becky Reeser Sager and her husband Tim, her grandchildren, Paul Reeser, Isaac Reeser and his wife Mackenzie, Allie Reeser, Taw Ywa Moo, Alex Sager Fly and her husband Kevin, Isabelle Sager, and her sister, Barbara Osborne Greer, along with her nieces and nephews. A receiving of friends will take place on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 4 P.M. – 6 P.M. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home (2214 Decatur Highway Gardendale, AL 35071) 205-631-8810.

Thenewgardendalefuneralhome.com. A funeral service for Carolyn will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 3 P.M. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
