Obituary for Carolyn Wade Shorter Carolyn Wade Shorter, 73, wife of Billy N. Shorter, Sr., died Friday, December 07, 2018, at Palmetto Health Baptist. Born December 14, 1944, in Marion, KY, she was a daughter of the late Leroy Wade and the late Christine Farley Wade. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 56 years; a daughter, Kris Anne Steele of Sumter; two grandchildren, Jordan Gabriel Rock and Alyssa Grace Steele; daughter-in-law, Pam Shorter of Sumter; two sisters, Jane Tinsley (Bill) and Marilyn Baggette (Terry) all of KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy N. “Nick” Shorter, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev.

Jim Tuggle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct.
