Carroll McGinnis, longtime Cushing resident, passed away Wednesday evening, April 11, 2018, in the Drumright Hospital at the age of 89 years. The son of the late Arthur McGinnis and Allie Chaney McGinnis, Carroll was born on December 10, 1928 in Chandler, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Eunice May West on June 29, 1947 and to this union two children, Ray and Ann were born.

He loved music and was very involved with a musical group that provided music at the Cushing Senior Citizen Center, nursing homes and local communities.

He attended the First Church of God and was a longtime member of the Cushing Senior Citizen Board. He is survived by one son Ray McGinnis and his wife Tricia of Cushing; one sister Donna Dady of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Brent McGinnis and his wife Briana of Edmond, and Traci Johnson of Oklahoma City; his great grandchildren, Averie and Paige McGinnis and Alex and Tori Ryker; his sisters-in-law, Christine Tidwell and her husband Mel of Tyler, TX, Arvilla West of Stillwater and Nila Murrow and her husband Wayne of Bethany; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife Eunice, he was preceded in death by one daughter Ann Bonhomme; sisters, Helen Manning, Mildred Wasson, Dorothy Brown and Evolee Jones; brothers, Homer and Lester McGinnis; a brother-in-law Bob West and a grandson Scott McGinnis.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Church of God with Pastor Kevin Clouse officiating. Burial will follow in the Flynn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God or to the charity of your choice.

The family will greet friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home.
