Obituary for Casper E. Strickler Casper E Strickler, Jr., age 91, passed away September 30, 2018. He was born to the late Casper and Ethel (Sheets) Strickler of Grove City on September 16, 1927. Cas is survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Nancy Brown, of Florida; by his children, John (Rena) Strickler, Richard (Charleen) Strickler of North Carolina, Debra (Jerry) Adkins of Florida; by his grandchildren, Megan Ziemba, Corinn (John) Miller, Jes Strickler, Beau Strickler, Erica Strickler, Brett (Judy) Strickler, Erin Strickler; 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Thelma (Lawrence) Martindale, Martha (Glenn) Smith, and Betty (Ernest) Nelson. Cas graduated from Grove City High School in 1946 and enlisted in the Army, serving in both WWII and the Korean War. After his return he worked in a supervisory capacity at The Belt Corp, American Standard, Owen Illinois, and retired from Liebert Corporation.

He was a lifetime member of Amvets 1312, The American Legion Post 144, and the Firefighters VFW 3426. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the O.R. Woodyard Funeral Home, 1346 S. High St., Columbus. Burial service to be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Thursday followed by interment at the Grove City Cemetery.
