Catherine A. Wagner, 94, of Jersey Shore, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at her home. Born July 10, 1923, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter to the late L. Earl Fenstamaker and the former Stella G. Osborne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lynn L. Wagner on July 14, 2011, they were united in marriage on Oct.

27, 1941; a son, Earl L. Wagner, in 1943; and two sisters, Naomi I. Halstead, in 2013, and Beverly J. Swarthout, in 2017. Kate graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1941. Her and her husband moved to the farm in 1951 and she spent much of her time working on the farm.

She also sold Avon for 30 years. Surviving is her foster son, James (Mary) Wool, of Jersey Shore; grandchildren, Dusty (Wes) Green, of Antes Fort, Jess Wool, of Salladasburg, Jamie Watkins, of Salladasburg, Jeanette Wehler, of Jersey Shore, and Darrin (Tish) Bauer, of St. Mary’s; grandchildren, Madison and Steele Green, Jordyn and Tiyler Watkins, Abby and Ally Madron, Tiffany Wehler, Cheyanne Wehler, and Hailey Bauer; and two sisters, Dorothy J. Fetterhoff, of Jersey Shore, and Nancy L. Koch, of Milton. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

Pastor David McCoy will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Kate will be laid to rest in the Limestone Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Limestone Cemetery Association at 747 Slickem Lane, Jersey Shore, PA, 17740.
