Catherine A. Macera “Cass” (nee Betson) Of Philadelphia. Age 91. Passed away on January 18th Cass was born in Philadelphia to the late John and Helen Betson.

Her family was her life. She left behind her cherished sons Norman Macera and John Macera Sr and daughter-in law Dottie Macera, Her precious grandchildren Rosemary Auferio, (Mark), John Macera Jr. (Kristy) and Anthony Macera, also her loving six great-grandsons Luke, Zachary, Joel, Blake, John and Julian. She is also survived by her three brothers John Betson, Robert Betson (Betty) and Thomas Betson, (Ceily) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She loved dancing, singing, cooking, taking care of her family but her passion was acting. She will be dearly missed. Special thanks to every worker at Saunders House which were Cass’s extended family and the most compassionate and caring people we have ever met.

Her aides Helen, Lisa, Sharon, James, Cheryl and all of the aides as well as all of the nurses including Jennifer, Jackie, Deanna are Monique and all of the physical therapists are all angels. Funeral services will be at Williams Lombardo on Saturday January 26 from 9:30 to 11am. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
