Coley Eugene McGee, Jr., 87, of Florence, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Mr. McGee was born in Holly Hill, SC the son of the late Coley Eugene McGee, Sr. and Ruth Inez Kemmerlin McGee. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army, a member of Southside Baptist Church and a member of Joe Poston’s Sunday School Class.

He retired as office manager from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company after 30 years. He worked as a sales staff member for 25 years at Carolina Supply Company. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip McGee, and sisters, Mabel Stokes, Sue Shattles, and Judith Atkinson.

Surviving are his wife, Julie Morris McGee of Florence; daughters, Sandra McGee (Rob) Brown of Spartanburg, Melinda McGee (Lee) Gibson of Irmo and Andrea Mullins (Franklin) Hendley of Cheraw; grandchildren, Zachary Sanders Brown of Greenville, Rebecca Simmons Brown of Washington, DC, and Molly McGee Gibson of Irmo. He will be missed by his special nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Rivertown Boys, 3454 Highway 905, Conway, SC 29526.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Friday, March 8, 2019 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Andy and Kathy Morris in Timmonsville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of McLeod Hospice House and the staff of Heritage Home of Florence.
