Mary Hannah Leslie Reig March 26, 1951 – May 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card FLORENCE – Mary Hannah Leslie Reig, 68, died Saturday, May 18, 2019, at McLeod Hospice House after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2019, at Christ Church in Florence, followed immediately by a reception in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

Hannah was born in Trenton, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Fred Leslie Reig, Jr., and Madeline Hannah Boulden Reig. She earned an associate’s degree in Art History from the University of Delaware and a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Western Carolina University. After working many years as an interior designer in North Carolina and South Carolina, Hannah became a licensed architect in South Carolina in 1993 and in Delaware in 1995.

She was a talented architect in private practice for several years, and after leaving private practice worked with McLeod Health, and most recently the City of Florence. She was a devoted member of Christ Church, where she was organist and Lay Reader. She was an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the American Institute of Architects.

She was also a member of the League of Women Voters. Hannah is survived by many beloved cousins and close personal friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church, P. O. Box 15036, Florence, SC 29506; or the Darlington County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1655, Hartsville, SC 29551.
