Dominic Charles DeMaggio October 05, 1967 – May 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card FLORENCE – Dominic Charles DeMaggio, 51, died Friday, May 10, 2019, from injuries sustained in an accident. Funeral mass will be said at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Charles was born in Mount Clemens, MI, a son of Donald F. DeMaggio and Elaine Caloway Brooks.

He served his country in the United States Army and then the Army Reserves. He was founder and co-owner of Hemingway Pawn in Hemingway, SC, and Myrtle Beach Pawn and Gun, Inc Mr. DeMaggio was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Florence, and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Barfield DeMaggio, of Florence; his son, Michael DeMaggio, also of Florence; his father and step-mother, Donald and Sue DeMaggio of Port Austin, MI; his mother and step-father, Elaine and Bill Brooks, of Centre, AL; a brother, Phillip (Lynda) DeMaggio, of Shelby Township, MI; a sister, Theresa (Ken) Teal, of Centre, AL; and special fur babies, Harley, Lily, and Sugar. He was known as “Uncle Cha Cha” to several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind special friends: Steven and Marita Anderson, John and Heidi Emmins, Tammy and Rick Richey, and Allan and Janet Dunphy and their families, and many others.

Those that knew him will remember him for his kindness, and his love of Harleys and guns. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Run for the Heroes, St. Anthony School, 2536 Hoffmeyer Rd. , Florence, SC 29501.
