Obituary for Cecelia F. Specian Cecelia F. Specian, 83 , passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Foothill Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsborough, NJ. She was born in Mahoney City, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Paul and Veronica Kurtz. Mrs. Specian was a resident of Manville, NJ since 1952.
She worked at the Diehls Manufacturing Corporation in Bridgewater, NJ before retiring. Mrs. Specian was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Specian enjoyed cooking, crocheting, quilting and sewing. She especially enjoyed making various items for her family and friends. Mrs. Specian was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (Christ the Redeemer Parish) in Manville, NJ and was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society at the Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Leon J. Specian in August of 2017, by her sister Anastasia Melusky and by her two brothers Andrew Kurtz and John Kurtz. She is survived by her four sons Eugene Specian and his wife Sandra of Manville, NJ, Paul Specian of Manville, NJ, Kenneth Specian of Hamilton, NJ and Lawrence Specian and his wife Jill of Hamilton, NJ and by her daughter Barbara Ann Specian of Manville, NJ. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Amy Keppel and her husband Nathan, Holly Scheuermann and her husband Robbie, Robin Suggs and her husband Bo, Brian Specian and Marc Specian and by her two great-grandchildren Ashley Keppel and Lily Suggs.
The viewing will be on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd. , Manville, NJ. The Funeral will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 8:00 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville, NJ.
