Edward Cecil Smith 86, of the Clarendon community died Monday, May 27, 2019. He was born August 13, 1932 in Dillon County the son of the late James Howard Smith and Letha McDowell Saber. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Matheson Smith; five sons, Rusty Smith of West Bend, WI, Eddie Smith of Iowa, Joseph Smith and wife, Connie of Milwaukee, WI, Adam Smith and wife, Essie of Whiteville, NC, Sonny Smith and wife, Carey of Clarendon, NC; two daughters, Tessie Lapp and husband, Tim of Wawkesha, WI, Bonnie Nava and husband, Joel of Roanoke, VA.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Sweet Home Baptist Church by Rev. Wayne Faulk, Rev. Tom Ward and Rev.

Anthony Fipps. Burial will be in the Hall-Simmons Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Sweet Home Baptist Church.
