Obituary for Champ Clark Ellis, Jr. FORT WORTH – Champ Clark (C.C.) Ellis, Jr., 91, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. C.C. was born in Jonesburg, Mo. , on Oct.

4, 1926. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines. After the war ended he returned to complete his bachelor and master studies in mathematics at Baylor University.

He taught high school math before embarking on a long career at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, retiring after 56 years. He enjoyed attending and teaching Sunday school at University Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his father, Champ Clark; mother, Lillian; and wife of 62 years, Betty Joyce.
