Charlene J. Ecker, age 84, of Tipton passed away at home on November 16, 2018, surrounded by her family. On August 1, 1934, she was born at home in Michigan Center, MI, the daughter of Duard and Viola (Gilbert) Francisco. Charlene is survived by her daughter Marianne (Andy) LaRou; four granddaughters, Tabatha (Daniel) Smith, Shannon Johns, Tonya Ecker, and Alexandra LaRou; grandson, Mitchell LaRou; 6 great granddaughters; 4 great grandsons; an expectant great grandchild to arrive in March 2019; and 2 sisters; Mary Lavender and Joan Cooch.

She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas James Ecker in 1977, brother Dewey Francisco, and brother in law, Hubert Lavender. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday November 20, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service.
