Obituary for Charles Benjamin “Ben” Sutphin Charles Benjamin “Ben” Sutphin, 69, of Culpeper passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. Ben worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation Warrenton residency office and retired after 46 years. He was devoted to his wife Linda Lou Sutphin who preceded him in death in 2014.

Some could say he died of a broken heart. He is survived by three brothers, Michael Sutphin and his wife, Kathy, David Sutphin and his wife, Doris, and Albert Sutphin and his wife, Cynthia; three children, Patricia Ann Peyton, Christopher A. Sutphin and Becky “Muffin” Sutphin; and several grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Midland Cemetery, Fauquier County, VA.
