Charles’ Obituary Charles Daniel “Dan” Embry, 75, of Paris, died at 2:08 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Paris Community Hospital. Dan was born November 7, 1943 in Muldraugh, Kentucky, the son of Charles and Margaret Holston Embry. He married Janet Gearlds on December 6, 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Embry of Paris; daughter, Tina (Tim) Carter of Mentone, Indiana; brother, Leo (Candy) Embry of Chenoa; sister, Wanda Jackson of Kentucky; grandchildren, Josh Carter, and Beth (Cale) Thompson; 2 great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Jo Embry; and brother, Rick Embry. Dan was a retired truck driver and a member of the American Legion Post of Marshall.

He served in the U.S. Marines. There will be no services. Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, is assisting the family with arrangements.
