CHARLES’ Obituary CHARLES EDWARD ARMSTRONG, age 82, of Huntland, Tenn. , departed this life on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Armstrong was born on June 18, 1936, in Estill Springs, Tenn.

, to the late Rollie H. Armstrong and Nola May Parks Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong was a retiree of the U.S. Air Force serving his country for 21 years. He last attended Huntland Pentecostal Church with his wife.

He was a Southern Baptist Minister for approximately 20 years. He pastored several churches during his ministry including Riva Lake Baptist Church in Winchester, Monteagle Baptist and Skyway Baptist Church in Glendale, Arizona. After his retirement he was employed for 4 years at U.T.S.I.

as a teacher. He was then employed for 17 years as a Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy. He enjoyed fishing, squirrel hunting and collecting rods and reels.

He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. In addition to his parents, Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Joyce Ann Couch Armstrong. He is survived by his wife, Pat Leech Armstrong of Huntland, sons; Allen J. (Donna)Armstrong of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

, Timothy Armstrong of Winchester, Tenn. , 4-grandchildren; Emily, Ben, Hannah and Justin Armstrong, 5-great- grandchildren and Jonathan Armstrong of Elora, Tenn. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro.

Mitchell Gardner, officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 on Saturday. Interment will be in Watson-North Memorial Park in Winchester with full military honors bestowed.
