Obituary for Charles Edwin Brown Charles Edwin Brown, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, July 9, 2018, at Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Born May 27, 1930, in Woodruff, SC, he was the son of the late Ralph and Clara Godfrey Brown and husband of the late Pat Elston Brown. A graduate of Spartanburg High School and U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Brown was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church and retired from the heating and air conditioning industry.

Survivors include his children, Wesley Brown (Marie) of Moore, SC, and Charlene Hodges (Ralph) of Midway, GA; one grandson; two great-grandchildren and brother, Bobby Brown of Asheville, NC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Dennis Charles Brown and siblings, Walter Brown (Barbara), Gene Brown (Babs), Juanita Brown and Sandra Brown. A viewing for family and close friends will be held 1:00-3:00 PM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Ave. , Spartanburg, SC 29303.
