Charles Eugene “Gene” Thrash, age 75 of Jemison passed away on July 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born on November 2, 1942, son of the late James Preston Thrash and the Wilma Grace Jones Thrash. He was a construction worker.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Donna Farris of Jemison; Daughters, Carla Lambert of Clanton, Tracy (Mike) Hegwood of Clanton, Mindy (Keith) Cooedy of Jemison, and Valarie (Chase) Hayes of Clanton; Grandsons, Skylar Hegwood of Clanton and Jordan (Amber) Lambert of Verbena; Great-grandson, Jaxon Lambert of Verbena; and a Brother, Larry (Cathy) Thrash of Verbena. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Preston and Wilma Grace Thrash. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00am from the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Mark Bolton officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount United Methodist Cemetery in Jemison. Visitation will be held from one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
