JANIE WOOD MOUNT, age 72 of Verbena, passed away suddenly on September 28, 2018 at St. Vincent-Chilton in Clanton, AL. She was born in Montgomery, AL on October 31, 1945; the daughter of the late Willie Edgar Wood and the late Myrtle Matheny Wood. She was a former operator and dispatcher with AT&T.

She is survived by: Husband, Willie Mount of Verbena; Daughter, Tammy (Tim) Alexander of Birmingham; Daughter, Beverly Downing of Clanton; Son, Greg Mount of Riverside; Son, Kevin Mount of Verbena; Daughter, Savannah Johnston of Montgomery; 7 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Louise Britt of Amarillo, TX; Sister, Ann Braun of Tampa, FL; Brother, Lamar (Genoyce) Wood of Montgomery; Sister, Suzie (Burt) Burke of Montgomery; and Sister, Mary (Bob) Martin of Tampa, FL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00pm from the Pentecostal Life Church located at 3627 Stanley St. in Montgomery, AL.

with Rev. Larry McEndarfer officiating. The body will be in state one hour prior to the services at the church.

Burial will follow in the Coosa River Cemetery in Holtville, AL. Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, Alabama. www.
