CHARLES A. HARDIN Charles A. Hardin, 85, passed away on February 12, 2019 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. Charles was born on April 1st, 1933 in Lincoln County, Arkansas to Frank and Ernestine Richmond Hardin. Charles grew up in Lincoln County, Arkansas where he attended Grady school and graduated in 1946.

In 1968 Charles decided to pursue better opportunities by moving to Kansas City, Missouri. Charles worked for general motors as an assembler for 34 faithful years. During his career at GM Charles was awarded for perfect attendance years over and was involved with the local UAW union.

He also was a General Motors innovator. Charles retired from GM in the year of 1999. Charles married Marzella Scott in 1959 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, they were happily married for 54 years.

Charles was a member of Koinonia bible church where he enjoyed fellowshipping through many agape feasts and receiving the word of the lord through slumber. In his spare time, he loved being with family, fixing things, playing pool, playing cards, dominos, inventing things, traveling, and being a part of conversations where he may not have been invited. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Marzella (BUG), his daughter Chana Avery, grandson Raymondo Blocker, parents Frank and Ernestine Hardin and sister Annie Mae Colvin.

Charles is survived by his son Alvin (Diane) Bhones of Madison, Alabama, and three daughters Cherion (Van) Johnson of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Debra Hardin of Kansas City, Missouri, and Sherry Kintu of Kansas City, Missouri. Eight sisters Gracie B Mckenzie of Chicago, Illinois, Mapleine Mayweather of Rockford Illinois, Carolyn Walker of St. Louis, Missouri, Jacqueline Powell of St. Louis, Missouri, Meta (George) Glass of Bastrop, Louisiana, Arlene Campbell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Janell Henderson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Betty (Willie) Anthony of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Three brothers Charles (Wallis) Broughton of Baltimore, Maryland, Michael Hardin of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Ronnie (Kim) Hardin of Jefferson City, Missouri and 10 Grandchildren Shavonne Wright, TJ Osby, Andre Osby, Nicholas Bhones, Nikki Bhones, LaKesha Shanee Hardin, Tomee Avery, Toshaun Avery, Patricia Kintu, Jaden Kintu.

And 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services only will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Koinonia Bible Church. 7020 Richmond, KCMO 64133.

Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
