Wagener – Mr. Charles Junice Beam, USAF, ret. , 86, entered into rest Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Mr. Beam is the husband of Mary Floyd Beam.

He is the father of Linda Joyce Winter of Cottageville, SC, Pam Jackson of Orangeburg, SC, Gary Beam of CA, and the late Danny Beam, Charlie Beam, and Kathy Beam. Mr. Beam’s blended family also includes children; Ramona “Mona” Sproles, Anita (David) King, Jeanette June “J.J.” Almers, Georgina “Georgie” (Bob) Hanlon, Colette “Andy” (Klaus) Wilke, Fred (Janet) Crumley, Linda Lee Casey, Jo (Bob) Dandridge, and the late Sharay “D.D.”. He has 12 grandchildren, 14 blended grandchildren, and 36 blended great grandchildren.

Mr. Beam is survived by his brother George (Betty) Beam of Miss. , and sister Faye Spur of Memphis, TN. Mr. Beam was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He retired as a USAF Flight Engineer with 22 years of service. Mr. Beam was a life member of VFW Post 6304, where he served as Post Commander from 2013 to 2015. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of American Legion Post 26.

Mr. Beam was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Sunday, November 4th at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 113 Tabernacle Road, Springfield, SC 29146. The Funeral Service will follow at 3 pm with the Rev.

Gareth Hegler ministering. Interment will be in church cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund at 1488 Salley Road, Salley, SC 29137.
