Charles Michael O’Donnell Jr, age 90, of Seaford passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family on Friday, October 19, 2018. Charles was born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Charles M. and Mary McCoy O’Donnell. He attended West Catholic High School and St. Joe’s University in Philadelphia.

He went on to enjoy a lifetime career in the trucking business with the last 35 years at Preston Trucking as Vice President-Director of Nation Sales. He was an avid bowler in Willow Grove, PA and Seaford, DE, both in the Men’s and mixed bowling leagues. He was a former member of the Elks.

He was a great little league coach, Indian Guide Leader, and he was a voracious reader. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Roma E, O’Donnell, children, Christine O Killmon (EJ), Jeanne M Peteler, Charles M O’Donnell III (Deborah) and Joseph J O’Donnell (Nancy). He has 7 loving grandchildren, Megan Bounds, Michael Killmon, David Killmon, Brian Peteler, Kolbe O’Donnell, Liam O’Donnell and Emma O’Donnell.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Brian Peteler. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved his family and everything he did was for them.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 27th at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 532 E. Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE. Friends may call at the Cranston Funeral Home 300 N. Shipley St, on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
