Obituary for Charles McCart Charles James McCart, 76, of Egypt Mills, Missouri died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Southeast Hospital. He was born August 17, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Jewel Spencer and Marie Carrie Sapienza McCart. He and Jeep Raglin were married January 9.

1964 and later married Betty Jean Williams on April 20, 1991. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2018. He was employed by Southeast Missouri State University from 1976 to retirement July 2008 as a Master Plumber.

He was also employed by American Red Cross; Penzel Construction; Monroe Plumbling for 10 years, where he learned the plumbing trade; Inman Trucking and Lando Shoe Repair at first for his father and later owner/operator from 1980 to 1987 when it closed. He was a member of St. Mary Cathedral, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council #1111, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Thomas A. Langlen Assembly, and Men’s Auxiliary VFW #3838. Survivors include his three daughters, Kimberly Beussink of Cape Girardeau, Lesa Renee (Tim) Conway of Cape Girardeau and Christina Kaye (Kane) Cotton of Monument, Colorado; one step-daughter, Niki Johnson; two sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Poston of Cape Girardeau and Cheryl (Jim) Lawrence of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Jerry McCart of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Robert (Kris) McCart of Parkville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Danielle Beussink, Sophia Cotton and Jaden Cotton; one step-grandchild, Reese Marie Johnson of Jackson, Missouri; one great-granddaughter, Lyla; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Noce Roth Fortner of Jackson and Terri Sue Noce of Jackson; four brothers-in-law, George Earl Williams of Jackson, Edward Louis (Vickie) Williams of Scott City, Missouri, Donald Francis Williams of Mooreland, Oklahoma and Randy C. (Rochelle) Noce of Oak Ridge, Missouri; He is also survived by good friends, Manuel Goode Jr. and Joyce & Stan Dillingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty McCart; infant daughter, Tresa McCart; young brother, Jimmy McCart; brother-in-law, Larry Volkerding; sisters-in-law, Paula McCart and Mary Lou Williams Ramsey; son-in-law, Jimmy Beussink; and good friend, Bill Frayser and Jerry Ainsworth. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, with parish prayers at 7:00 pm followed by Knights of Columbus rosary.

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
