Franklin, NC- Mr. Charles Edward “Rusty” Russell, II, 65, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019. Mr. Russell was born in Onita County, New York to the late Charles Edward Russell and Jane Anne Barton Russell Ernst who survives. Rusty worked as a teacher in the New York State School system.

He later worked in construction and communications in North Carolina. Survivors include his mother of Jane Barton Ernst of New York; a sister, Charlene E. Russell of New York; and a brother, James Michael Russell of New York; and several close friends in the Franklin and Highlands, NC area. Rusty was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Michelle Ernst.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Online condolences can be left at www. bryantgrantfuneralhome.com Bryant-Grant Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Russell family.
