Charles was born on November 24, 1932 in Seabrook, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 55 years. He worked for many years for Monsanto Chemical Co. as an operator and I&E supervisor.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and was Methodist by faith. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Anita Schmidt. Charles is survived by his wife, Caroline Schmidt, daughters, Theresa Skelton and husband John, Cindy Harms and husband Todd, sisters, Pam Moore and husband Warren Neal, Lee Burson and husband Ken, Sabrina Rust, brother, Carl Schmidt, grandchildren, Andy Skelton and wife April, Charlie Skelton, Todd Harms and wife Amanda, Kenneth Harms and wife Shannon, Matthew Harms and wife Ashley, great-grandchildren, Andrew Skelton, Alyssa Skelton, Curtis Harms, Emily Harms, Averie Harms, Kendall Harms, Lennon Harms, Cody Mattas, Chelsea Mattas, Carson Mattas, and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of choice in Charles’ name. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
