Wanda Sue Farmer of Kingwood, Texas passed from this life on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the age of 86. She was born September 11, 1932 in Purdon to Sam and Ruth Slaughter Peden. Mrs. Farmer was a straight forward person and didn’t hold anything back when she believed in something.

She enjoyed bowling and bowled on at team years ago. She loved to cook when she was able. Her family always enjoyed her homemade peach ice cream in the summer, her candy she made for them at the holidays and she made a mean chicken fried steak that they always enjoyed.

Spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do. She had a collection of elephants that her family always like to help her add to. She did enjoy doing a little traveling and she liked staying busy.

She enjoyed people and liked meeting new people. When she met a stranger by the time finished a conversation she had a new friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Farmer in 1981; son, Larry Farmer in 1973; Father, Sam Peden in 1951; mother, Ruth Spurlock in 2015; Step father, Tom Spurlock; son in law Edward Adkinson in 2015.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Sam Farmer and wife Arron; daughter Wanda Adkinson; grandchildren, Anita Adkinson, Angela Guzman and husband Ruben, Christopher Farmer and wife Amber. Great grandchildren, Leandra Guzman, Celeste Guzman, Joshua Guzman, Blake Farmer and wife Abril, Caleb Farmer, Zane Farmer, Eli Farmer, Hadleigh Farmer. One great great grandson Levi Farmer.

She is also survived by her brother, Charles Peden and sister Jean Brandon. Visitation will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday evening, May 31, 2019 at Griffin – Roughton Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Griffin – Roughton Funeral Home Chapel.
