Charles W. “Bobby” Loggins went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2019 at age 81. Bobby was born August 19, 1937 in Birmingham, Alabama, to Charles “Bob” and Marie Loggins. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Sheffield, AL for over 20 years and later retired from General Motors Saginaw Division in Decatur, AL after over 10 years of service.

In his younger days he enjoyed drag racing at Lassiter Mountain Dragway in his 1957 Chevrolet. He also enjoyed going to the races in Daytona and Atlanta. He enjoyed watching races on television, especially NASCAR races.

Bobby is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Elsie Jane Loggins; his parents and one sister, Sandra Loggins Brown. He is survived by sons, Terry Joe Loggins(Tonya) and Brad Loggins; daughter, Amy Loggins; granddaughters, April Nail (Rick), Tiffani Hauler (Chris), and Trista Loggins; great granddaughters, Alaina Nail and Brynleigh Hauler; great grandson, Beckett Hauler; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family. Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Brother Guy Moore will be officiating. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Charles W. “Bobby” Loggins please visit our Sympathy Store.
