Charles William “Bill” White, Jr., 83, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Jeanne Aldridge White, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2019. Funeral Services will be Saturday afternoon, February 23, 2019 at 3 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 o’clock until the time of service in the funeral home parlor. Flowers will be accepted. Bill was born February 5, 1936 in Orangeburg, SC, a son of the late Charles William White, Sr. and Leola Dukes White Tanner.

He honorably served in the United States Air Force and was a General Sales Manager for numerous dealerships. He also worked in Public Relations for Desperado’s and the Plex, affectionately known as “Mr. Bill”. “Mr. Bill” was adventurous and lived life to the fullest.

There wasn’t anything that he hasn’t tried at least once. In his early years he rode bulls and was a clown in rodeos. He was an avid horseman and broke and trained horses for years.

He rode motorcycles, skied, para-sailed and even had his pilot’s license. He loved music and could play any instrument by ear. His guitar or mandolin was always nearby just in case you wanted to hear him sing or just pick a tune.

He loved meeting people and once you shook his hand you were his friend. His greatest joy came from his family and his “puppies”. In addition to his beloved wife, Jeanne White of North Charleston, SC, Bill leaves behind three daughters, Lee Ann White Soots (Steve) of Lenoir, NC, Lisa Forrester (Warren Wilson) of Greenville, SC, and Sonya Callaway (John) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; brother, Glenn Tanner (Terri); daughter-in-law Ann White; his loving aunt, Doris Jennings; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Charles White, Sr. and Leola Tanner; two sons, Tray White and Curtis White; grandson, Tyler Ingram; and two sisters, Carolyn Aldridge and Jerri Tucker. Arrangements by Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
