Obituary of Charles Hanner Charles Gurney Hanner, age 82, of Thomasville died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Hanner was born December 13, 1935 the son of Frank and Elsie Knight Hanner. Charles was a native of Guilford County and retired from brick mason.

He was a member of Level Cross United Methodist Church and served on the cemetery committee. Charles loved to watch old western shows and Nascar, reading cowboy western novels and was a fan of the Miami dolphins. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by 3 sisters.

He is survived by his daughters, Dawn Shackleford (Jerry Price) of Asheboro, Martie Hanner and Barbie Hanner; grandchild, Siera Owens (Michael Boone) of Level Cross; great grandchildren, Sean Boone and Amiriana Boone; cousins, Rosco Hanner and Carolyn Hanner Smith; Nephew Frank Schrimsher; niece Pamela Jean. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 1-2 pm at Level Cross United Methodist Church, 10142 U.S. Hwy. 220 Bus.

N., Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Level Cross United Methodist Church, 10142 U.S. Hwy. 220 Bus.

N., Randleman with Rev. Kaye Fry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
