Mrs. Charlotte (Owens) German, age 73, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2019. She was born in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 4, 1946. Mrs. German was the daughter of the late, Charlie Owens, Sr. and the late, Mildred (Manning) Owens.

Besides her parents, Mrs. German is preceded in death by her husband Norman German, Jr.; one brother, Charlie Owens, Jr.; two sisters, Gloria Burcham and Susie Underwood. Survivors include her son, Johnathan David Russell of Temple; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jeff Abernathy of Madison, Alabama; her brother, Henry Tommy Owens of Norman, Oklahoma; her sister, Muriel Earl of Luthersville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jon Ray Russell of Florence, Alabama, Gage Abernathy and Skye Abernathy of Madison, Alabama and a number of other relatives. In accordance with Mrs. German’s wishes, she will be cremated.
