Chelsie Hogg Reynolds daughter of the late Burnett and Bertha Shepherd Hogg was born March 17, 1920 at Roxana Kentucky. She entered eternal life January 7, 2019 being 98 years old at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Jim Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by 7 Brothers: Nehemiah, James, Willis Lee “Chub”, Paul, Doyle, Monroe and Ralph and 2 sisters Georgia Hogg DePasquale and Lucy Hogg Branham. She was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. She had been a Sunday School teacher at Whitesburg First Baptist Church for over 25 years.

She was a member of the Mayking Homemakers Club. She attended Whitesburg High School and Stuart Robinson School in Letcher County. She was a faithful wife and a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by one daughter Eloise (Frank) Delzer, Paintsville, two sons Peyton (Ann) Reynolds and Stuart (Sylvia) Reynolds all of Mayking. Survived by three granddaughters Susan Raye Knight, Paintsville, Cyndee Reynolds Cain, Tracy (Rick) Lucas, Whitesburg, Survived by two grandsons, Brad (Jessica) Reynolds, Marietta, Georgia, and Justin Reynolds, Mayking. She is survived by great granddaughters, Sarah (Ryan) Kimbler, Paintsville, Abby and Erin Cain, Paris, Amelia and Albany Lucas, Whitesburg, one great grandson Jake (Laura) Cyrus Buford, Georgia and great, great grandchildren Mahala and Harrison Kimbler, Paintsville.

Also surviving are her brother Chester Hogg, Roxana and sister Virginia Hogg Caudill, Gary, Indiana. The family would like to extend a special thanks to friends and neighbors for their many kindnesses to our mother and especially to Brother Bill Craft for his steadfast support of the Reynolds family and the unfailing kindnesses of special friends Janice and Orbin Slone, Mavis Watts, Wayne Branham, Paul Gilliam, Edith White, Neva Bentley and Teresa Franklin Fields. She died in faith believing.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Millstone Missionary Baptist Church in care of Bill Craft, 191 Cabin Creek Road, Whitesburg, KY 41858. Funeral: 1:00 O’clock P.M. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Hall Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
