Obituary for Cheryl Lynn Peshek Cheryl Lynn Peshek passed away Monday morning, October 22, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant and courageous fight against breast cancer. She was born April 3, 1957 to Francis “Frank” and Alice Jean (Horton) Jorgensen in Butte, Montana. Cheryl graduated from Butte High School.

Following high school she attended the former Butte Vo-Tech receiving her License Practical Nursing degree. Cheryl spent her career as a Mental Health Nurse working in a wide variety of settings. She was very instrumental in the development and management of the first mental health crisis house in Butte.

She spent 24 years as an integral part of the development and management of Gilder House and its transfer into Hays-Morris crisis facility. She also spent many years working in-patient psychiatric units including Montana State Hospital and St. James Hospital. She was also instrumental in training other mental health professionals throughout the State in crisis management skills.

The last five years of her career were spent as a Nurse Case Manager for Spectrum Medical/Benefis Health System. Her compassion, dedication and professionalism deeply touched and changed the lives of many people, giving all she had to serve others. Cheryl had deep passion and dedication to the Butte-Silver Bow Relay for Life.

This passion and dedication was prompted by the many people in her life that suffered from the ravages of cancer. Cheryl and her husband, Dave, spent the last 25 years living and loving their life together. Cheryl and Dave built their home on 25 beautiful acres in Herman Gulch.

She loved living in the country and observing the abundant wildlife that frequented their yard. Above all else, Cheryl loved her family; they were her life. Her children and grandchildren were deeply and totally loved, providing her with joy beyond description.

Cheryl gave her total self to those she loved. To be loved by Cheryl left you no doubt that you received all she had to give. She rarely did things for herself.

Her purpose and fulfillment came from giving all she had to give to her family. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jean Jorgensen; her mother and father-in-law, Bob and Dolores Peshek; her loving aunt and uncle, Shirley and Clarke Williams. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Dave; her children, Jamie Boehmer and Jake Cuchine; Monica Boehmer; Sean and Arin Boehmer; Nicole and Chad Schilmoeller.

Grandchildren include: Bryton, Briley and Brienna Hardesty (Joe and Jess Hardesty); Jenna and Aiden Cuchine; Mikayla and Mikenna Burt (Todd Burt); Ava and Eli Boehmer; and Luke and Brooklyn Schilmoeller. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Becky Jorgensen of North Bend, WA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rita and Gary Kietzmann of Fort Collins, CO; and Linda and Jack Paulson of Craig, CO. Cousins, Laurie and Bernie Codr; Susan and Nate Istvanovich; Mark and Aloha Williams as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their deep appreciation for the love and care that Cheryl received from all staff of St. James Healthcare Cancer Center and the Frontier Hospice nursing staff. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. James Healthcare Cancer Center or a charity of the donor’s choice.
