Wozniak, “Chet”, age 68, of Point Pleasant died Saturday January 12th, 2019 at his home. Chet was born in Germany and raised in Newark before moving to Point Pleasant 30 years ago. Chet was a computer technician for Merrill Lynch in Princeton before his retirement.

He received the Award of Excellence from them in 1995 as well. He was a member of St. Martha’s R.C. Church in Point Pleasant where he taught CCD. After he retired, he worked for Briggs Taxi.

Chet had a special place in his heart for sick children and was a constant contributor to St. Jude’s Foundation. Chet was pre-deceased by his parents, William and Stefania Wozniak and his sister Teresa Balestrieri. Surviving is his wife Eileen and two sons David Wozniak of Point Pleasant and Brian Wozniak also of Point Pleasant.

Also surviving is his brother Joseph Wozniak of New Hampshire and his sister Diane McKerry and her husband Kevin of Point Pleasant. Chet is also survived by other relatives including many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral home 2170 Hwy.

88 Brick. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at St. Martha’s R.C. Church in Point Pleasant. Cremation will be private.
