Chris Joseph Tompkins, age 53, of Grand Haven passed away February 7, 2019, at Mercy Hospital. He was born May 26, 1965, in Chicago, IL to Ronnie and Darlene (Sabatini) Tompkins. Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren, and watching John Wayne movies.

He attended St. Patrick’s-St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He is survived by his two children: son, Brett (Stacy) Tompkins; daughter, Ashley (Justin) Hacker; grandchildren, Arianna, Wyatt, Marisa, Brycen, Grace, Sawyer; mother, Darlene Davison; mother of his children, Mary Tompkins; sisters, Theresa Sudekum, Patricia (Michael) Davison, Dawn (Brad) Forgette; Cathy (Kenneth) Presley; brother, Ronald Tompkins and several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Tompkins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at St. Patrick’s – St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Friends may meet the family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
