Mrs. Priscilla Ward, age 86, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was born June 26, 1932 in Grand Haven to Daniel and Leora Sherwood. On September 19, 1953 she married her best friend Donald C Ward.

They bought a forever home on the lake and lived out their fairy tale romance. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2006. Her grand kids and great-grandkids will always remember her as “water grandma” because of her love for spending quality time with them on the water.

Priscilla was a very charismatic woman who portrayed the love of Jesus through her actions. She was an active member of The Family Bible Church in Muskegon. She found great joy in organizing activities and also enjoyed blessing friends and family with her beautiful painted ceramics.

She is survived by three grandchildren: Shannon, Jason, and Tanya Ward; great-grandchildren: Maciah, Cy’ren, Karionna, Charlie, and Gary Ward; sister, Vera Preston. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Leslie, and Gary Ward; and seven siblings. She will be missed here on earth, but now she’s enjoying her new golden streets in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2019 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave) with Pastor Jerry DePoy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Lakeshore Cemetery.
