Christina Marie (Walkowski) Mata age 27, of Ann Arbor, MI, died May 15, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. Christina was born on May 30, 1991, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor to Paul and Jeane Walkowski. Christina became ill on May 29,18 and succumbed to that illness on May 15, 2019.

Christina was an Oncology Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Ann Arbor. Survived by her parents: Paul and Jeane Walkowski, husband Samuel Mata-Alverado whom she married in Ypsilanti, MI on April 13, 2011, and he survives her. Sons: Alexander, and Nickolas (Both at Huron Valley Catholic School) Stepchildren: Jovanny, Jessica, Samuel Husband’s Brothers and Sisters: Moises (Olivia), Victor (Amanda), Sara, Rebecca, Maria Luisa, Requel (Hugo), Marisela, Clarisa, Nely, Julia and many nieces and nephews Brothers: Vincent and Stephen Walkowski Hobbies and Interests: Nursing and working on her BSN, Spending time together with family and friends, going on family outings, traveling, and taking photos; reading, Upper Room Prayer Meetings, Girl Scouting from daisies through high school.
