Bennettsville Mrs. Christine Altman Driggers passed away, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Oak Haven Nursing Home in Darlington after and illness. She was 84. Mrs. Driggers was born on July 15, 1934 in Mullins, SC to the late Allard and Ollie Jones Altman.

She attended Shiloh Methodist Church. She was a machine operator at Oak River and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, loved to work at the church, and spending time with her family.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; sons, Robert Altman (Pat) of Bennettsville and Larry Donell Altman (Janice) of Florida; daughter, Carol Hook (Tim) of Ga. , Ann Sweatt (Mike) of Columbia, and Cathy McLean of Tennessee; brothers, Jr. Altman, Wallace Altman, and Tony Altman all of New Jersey; sister, Judy Altman of New Jersey; adopted sister Nancy Lang of Louisville, NC; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband, Jay Driggers; son, Louis Lynn Altman; brothers, Odell Altman, Dietrich Altman, JD Altman, and Harvey Altman.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Mike Sweatt. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Vivian with Oak Haven and McLeod Hospice for all the love, care, and support they showed to the family and Mrs. Christine.
