FAIRLAND – Christine Nicole (Reel) Kapfhammer, age 33, of Fairland, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at IU Methodist Hospital. She was born on July 11, 1985 in Greenfield. She graduated from Mt.

Vernon High School in 2003 and received her pet grooming certificate from Animal Arts Academy in 2010. She worked for New Palestine Veterinary Clinic as a dog groomer for 8 years. Christine loved animals, horseback riding and photography.

She also enjoyed being outdoors. Christine was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Memmer; and grandmother, Sylvia Happe. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Kapfhammer; daughters, Aubrey Kapfhammer and Kaydee Kapfhammer; grandfather, Howard Happe of Evansville; mother, Beth Memmer of Burnside, Kentucky; brother, James (Brandi) Happe of New Castle; biological father, Kevin (Stacey) Wallin of Frankfort; nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Clayton, Ellie, Peyton, Maggie, John, Liam, and Annelise; good friend, Stephanie Gurlach of Greenfield; father and mother-in-law, Terry & Sherry Kapfhammer of Fairland; brother-in-law, Philip (Alyssa) Kapfhammer of Shelbyville; and sisters-in-law, Julie (Steve) Dierson of Fisherville, Kentucky and Tracy (Tim) Brueggeman of Vero Beach, Florida.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Hancock County Humane Society, 214 E. Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140 or P.A.W.S.
